STK 3542 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Rallye 350

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Rallye 350 #3542

The Oldsmobile Rallye 350 was a valued-priced option to the Cutlass coupe that provided performance upgrades and a unique appearance package. In essence, it was an affordable 4-4-2 with somewhat similar performance characteristics, but better gas mileage. The Rallye 350 was a limited production '1970-only' model - just over 3,500 were built. Visual elements included Sebring Yellow paint w/urethane coated front/rear bumpers, blacked-out grill and special black/red body decals. Oldsmobile Super Stock II steel wheels (14”x7”) sans trim rings were painted matching Sebring Yellow. Other exterior features on the Rally 350 added a fiberglass forced-air hood, sport mirrors and '4-4-2 style' megaphone exhaust. This Cutlass Rallye 350 has been the beneficiary of a careful restoration (2020) back to original. The new Sebring Yellow finish is outstanding and is accented with a rear spoiler and correct Rallye 350 markings. The restored black vinyl bucket seat interior is also in excellent condition. It is equipped with A/C, tinted windows, full console, analog gauge package w/tach, sport steering wheel, faux wood accents and a factory AM/FM sound system that functions well. Under the hood, the rebuilt matching-numbers L74 Rocket 350ci high-compression engine is equipped with an Oldsmobile W-31 aluminum intake, Rochester Quadrajet 4V carburetor and air-induction. (Original W-30 cast iron 4V manifold included in sale.) Factory output was rated at 310hp - 360lb/ft and the Rocket sounds great through a free-flowing dual exhaust system. This powerplant is backed by a 3-speed TH350 automatic transmission w/Hurst/Olds 'Dual Gate' shifter and a 12-bolt posi-traction differential w/3.42:1 gearing. The spotless chassis is fitted with manual steering, power disc/drum brakes and a 'Rallye Sport Suspension' package that includes heavy duty shocks and front/rear stabilizers. Firestone 'Wide-Oval' radial tires provide grip. This is a very rare, exciting ride that is looking for your garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
