Stk. 1390 1996 Chevrolet Corvette (Collector Edition) In 1996 the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY was turned out the last of the C4 (1984-96) modelsl. Officials at Chevrolet decided to offer about 5,000 "Collector Edition" Corvettes to commemorate the end of a generation. The car that they came up with to honor the C4 turned out to be one of the best all-around Vettes ever to leave Kentucky. Our targa top (two tops) coupe appears to have never been unwrapped from the factory and shows an astonishing low mileage of 3,996. Of the 5,412 Collector Edition cars built, only 1,001 had the optional LT4 motor which this car has. The LT4 was a high winding 350 ci small block that made 330 HP and paired only with a manual 6-speed transmission. As you would imagine, these cars came highly optioned and have about every upgrade offered in 1996.
