Stk. 1320 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible In the summer of 1964 living seemed free and easy and young people were taken back by the new intermediate size cars the manufacturers were building. One of the biggest splashes in that market was the Chevrolet Malibu and if it was a convertible it made even a bigger splash. Our 64 Malibu (has SS badges) is a convertible and has lots of upgrades. Restored 2 years ago, this "rag top" features a rebuilt 355 small block with mild Comp cam and less than 3,000 miles. Equipped with Edelbrock rpm manifold, aluminum heads, 750 Holley carburetor and jet coated Hooker headers getting somewhere on time is no problem. The 700 R-4 speed automatic transmission combines with a 2200 Summit stall converter while the differential features a 10 bolt Eaton positive traction and 390 gear. Suspension is pro touring by Edelbrock, front disc brakes and Flow Master exhaust system have also been added. Take a good look at this Chevy and remember what roamed the road in 1964.
