Stk. 1284 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL In the early sixties, Ford was dominating the 500 mile NASCAR races, so they created a sub-series for their big performance car called the 500 XL. The 64 model year brought more sculptured styling that appeared busier (in an appealing way) than the straight-lined earlier models. Many consider the 1964 the most attractive Galaxie ever built. Our "drop top" model is the always popular black roof over red body. Black and red combined interior color along with the exterior combination just seems to scream the 60s.
